Wednesday, July 27th, 2011We’ve always been a very close knit family through the years but with the usual moving around you get today most of the family is scattered across the UK or around the world. So every few years we try to have a family get together so everyone can catch up with one another. This year we were holding the get together in Dundee, where I live, so I started looking online for Party Venues Dundee. What I found was the perfect place to have the event. It’s this lovely place called West Park. They cater to larger events, such as weddings, student balls or business conferences so they were well suited to handle the arrival of all of our clan. It was a wonderful family reunion, with a very tasty meal provided for us all as well. I know it will be another two years or so before we all get together again so I am glad everything went so well.

Everyone is excited about the trip because we have decided that instead of taking 2 15 day vacations were going to take one vacation for a month. We are thinking that that will give us enough time to not only see all that France has to offer but also to visit some of the surrounding countries. After doing the calculations with the side of that is our best interest to try and find a fully furnished apartment that we can rent for our time in Paris. We are now searching the Internet for Paris shortstay apartments. We are optimistic about our chances of finding a apartment. We are told that if they are plentiful in Paris because there are many foreigners especially from the United States like to come and stay in Paris for more than a month.

Friday, March 11th, 2011Once the yellow little guy is done, my mind drifts off to the Brighton hotels that I am going to try to book on line because I love Manchester, Brighton, and Edinburgh so darn much! Back to the dogs, though, I can not spend the entire day thinking about the Brighton hotels that I want to rent. The yellow little dog runs over the the black dogs bowl even as the black dog totters over to the empty bowl that had belonged to the little yellow dog. They both lick the other’s bowl to make sure that there is no food or even any flavor left on the bowls. It is so funny. Once they have verified that there is no more food in either of the other bowls that needed to check, they run up the stairs to wait for me to take down the baby gate that prevents them.

Monday, August 23rd, 2010We got to Troyes and found that it was exactly what we were thinking. It’s sort of dreamy and cute, just super endearing in the way in the way that the town’s set up. Somehow it manages this very composed and put together feel, but at the same time, you’re there, and you look around, and you sort of forget that place has ancient history.
There are these Troyes hotels that we visited that were really grand, and you’d expect to find a big name behind them, but no, they were completely local, and completely in role and character with the place. Everything quaint and stylistic in the very Troyes way of things. We went there on a holiday, and we chose the place because we figured that it wasn’t going to be as crowded as the more touristy places. And it wasn’t, which was exactly what we wanted.
The hotel we chose was more quaint, and we liked it because we were there for a few weeks, and it was more comfortable than some of the others.
